Tips for Character Appearances at Corporate Events
1) Advertising! Events are only as successful as their advertising. We recommend starting your advertising at least 4 weeks out from your event date. Always use our non-copyrighted character names to protect your business, and try to use promotional photos of our characters (please ask us for some)! Families are more likely to recognize popular character dresses/suits/hair/poses and this can be very eye catching when advertising your event. Please remember to tag us in your posts so we are notified and can help spread the word!
2) Escort! Have an escort walk with your character(s) to and from their vehicle. The escort will be able to help them navigate through families and help get them to your destination without being stopped by fans along the way.
3) Set Up! If your character activities include story time, please make sure to have chairs set for the performers with an open area for the little guests to see the storybook pages. If your character activities also include sing-along, make sure there is enough space for all little guests to join the characters for singing and dancing.
4) Backdrop! Whether you set up a backdrop or have a natural setting already at hand, be sure your photo space has good lighting to ensure photos are clear, memorable, and beautiful! Please remember that BPP does not provide backdrops.
5) Other Entertainment! Please let us know if you will be having some other type of entertainment at your event. This helps our performers know what to expect so they can ensure the best performance. We will not, unless otherwise agreed upon, work with any other individual or group character impersonators under any circumstances.
Weather Policy for Outdoor Events: The health and safety of our performers is of utmost importance. Summer Events: when the outside temperature is above 70 degrees, the characters must be placed in the shade. If the temperature is above 80 degrees, the visit must take place indoors so our characters do not overheat in their costume. You must have an indoor backup plan in case of rain or winds. Your characters will not perform in rain or winds under any circumstances due to the quality of our wigs and costumes. Winter Events: when the outside temperature is below 50 degrees we require a heated/protected spot for our activities. When the outside temperature is below 40 degrees, we require that the visit take place indoors.
