Scoring Key

1 = Needs Major Improvement

2 = Inconsistent / Developing

3 = Meets Expectations

4 = Strong Performance

5 = Exceptional / Fully Immersive

Character Integrity

Evaluation Criteria:

Voice matches character consistently (tone, cadence, accent if applicable)

Maintains character mannerisms without breaking

Movement reflects character (posture, gestures, energy)

Fully embodied physical performance, not just verbal delivery

Your Score: 2 = Inconsistent / Developing

Notes:

  • Work on becoming Rapunzel. Record yourself acting & watch it back-to-back with the Disney meet & greets to see areas of improvement.

  • Work on recording your character voice and compare the video to the movie and voice guide! We can tell you’re working so hard!

  • Voice, tone, and language are leaning too modern and too similar to your own way of speaking. Would love to see your character voice shift a bit more classic fairytale style so it feels less contemporary and more storybook.

Energy, Expression & Engagement

Evaluation Criteria:

Maintains appropriate and consistent energy level

Strong, animated facial expressions visible to guests

Engages both children and adults naturally and confidently

Commands attention when speaking or leading activities

Your Score: 2 = Inconsistent / Developing

Notes:

  • Try being an active listener and genuinely respond instead of trying to recite things

  • Less rehearsed and more just having fun with the kids!

  • The engagement and energy feel a little forced and awkward.

  • Example: during the drive-in event, it felt like you pre-determined what you were going to say to the child in front of you instead of naturally letting the conversation flow. We want to make sure every interaction is personalized so the next people in line don’t hear the same thing we just said. We also want to make sure we are adding in special touches by telling stories about our sidekicks, explaining something about your world, asking to see a twirl, etc.

Time Management

Evaluation Criteria:

Keeps activities moving at an appropriate pace

Transitions smoothly between segments

Stays aligned with event schedule

Avoids unnecessary pauses or delays

Your Score: 5 = Exceptional / Fully Immersive

Notes:

  • Always on time and always communicats availability ahead of time before booking events!

Problem Solving

Evaluation Criteria:

Responds effectively to unexpected situations

Maintains character during disruptions or challenges

Redirects situations smoothly and positively

Makes independent decisions when needed

Your Score: — —

Notes:

  • Excited to see you individually handle situations in the future when things don’t go as planned!

Improvisation & Reaction Time

Evaluation Criteria:

Responds quickly without long hesitation

Stays in character during unscripted moments

Builds naturally on children’s comments and ideas

Avoids freezing or breaking immersion

Your Score: 2 = Inconsistent / Developing

Notes:

  • Take more time to think about meaningful answers. You don’t need to rush! It’s just like in real life. If a friend asks you something, you naturally don’t rush into an answer.

  • Hesitates before reacting. We know you know the guides really well, but you flub a little when put on the spot. I think this means you are too much in your head instead of focusing on the kid’s perspective.

  • Remember it’s all about instincts with the kids and making them feel heard and special!

Personalized & Memorable Conversations

Evaluation Criteria:

Uses children’s names naturally in conversation

Asks engaging, open-ended questions

Creates unique, personalized moments for guests

Makes each interaction feel special and individual

Your Score: 2 = Inconsistent / Developing

Notes:

  • Try to elongate your responses and make them unique

  • Focus on the kids and engaging them in conversation more than reciting details of your story

  • Sounds just a little too rehearsed and too focused on your lines instead of getting to know the kids.

Appearance Standards

Evaluation Criteria:

Makeup is clean, character-appropriate, and stage-ready

Wig is properly secured, styled, and natural-looking

No visible flaws (lace, pins, uneven styling, etc.)

Overall polished and performance-ready appearance

Your Score: 5 = Exceptional / Fully Immersive

Notes:

  • Makeup and wig always look fantastic!

Actionable Next Steps

(Specific skills or behaviors to improve before next performance)

  • Have your friends or family pretend to be a child and practice your conversation skills/active listening. Aim for a 3 min back-and-forth conversation without stopping, having your friend answer as the child might. Work your way up to 5 mins.

  • Practice your voice by watching Disney meet & greets on TT and YouTube and the voice guides in the drive. Watch the movie and take notes on how the character engages in conversations with others in their world, then apply that to your performance!
